A Child Of God
Oh how wonderful it is to be a child of God. I know from experience. I got saved at the age 10. I had been struggling with the fact that Jesus was real.
One day, I was sitting in my room thinking about it when,.............
a jolt ran through me. A voice told me, "Jesus is real and he is the one true God." I just sat there. Then a verse came into my head. "It is by grace through faith you have been saved." I was so amazed! Right then and there, I accepted Jesus into my life as my Lord and Savior.
Then I ran down and told my parents. I felt like I wanted to shout and dance but it was night and my little sister was sleeping in my room. So I just jumped up and down.
Romans 8:16 says,"The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are Children of God." As soon as I prayed that prayer, a party started in heaven! I became a Child of God!
Ephesians 1:5 says,"He predestined us to be adopted as his sons and daughters through Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasure and will." Adoption was God's plan all along.
If you haven't accepted Jesus into your life, I encourage you to do so. It is never to late to accept Jesus into your life.
Oh the joy of being a Child of God.
